Canyon Parents and Students:
I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to serve as the Principal for Canyon High School. This will be my 23rd year working at Canyon and I can honestly say there is no school I’d rather work at. We have a hardworking, dedicated staff and a great student body. Together, the staff and students along with great parent support have created an amazing culture here on campus. Our teachers, staff and administration are committed to providing a quality education along with many extra-curricular opportunities that will meet the variety of needs from our diverse student population.
At Canyon, we pride ourselves on the 4 A’s: Academics, Athletics, Arts and Activities. Our goal is to not only provide a variety of options for students in all four areas, but to excel in these areas as well. Academically, we provide students with a variety of options. Students can take honors, AP, IB and CTE classes. Our Athletic Department provides students with multiple sports to choose from. Last year 15 of our teams qualified for C.I.F. Five teams were League Champions and our Baseball team was C.I.F. and Southern State Champions. Our performing Arts, made up of choir, band, drama and dance teams provides quality shows and entertainment throughout the year. Our ASB helps provide many activities where students can get involved. These include clubs, assemblies as well as creating exciting environments for students at athletic contests. My goal as Principal of Canyon High School, is to have every student connected to our school through at least one of the many great programs we offer. Four years of high school go by quickly and my hope is that every student who leaves here will not only be prepared for their next step in life, but can also look back and feel thankful for the four years that they experienced at Canyon High School.
I always encourage feedback from parents, students and community. My staff and I are here to try and help students anyway we can. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Go Comanches!
