Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board, which offers college-level curriculum to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations.

International Baccalaureate
Program (IB)

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, offered at Canyon High School, aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge, students who flourish physically, intellectually and ethically. The curriculum is made of the six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay. Through the Diploma Program core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research and undertake a project that often involves community service.
